Funeral & Memorial Services
Before you read on, I would just like to send you lots of Love & Hugs at this difficult time.
If your loved one was fun, bold, and wouldn't want you to be sad, why not arrange their send-off with a Drag Queen?
As soon as I am contacted by your funeral director or yourself I will arrange to meet with you at your convenience, usually at your home, for a relaxed and informal conversation. There I can hear from you about your loved one….Their life, passions, and interests. What was important to them. Their stories and anecdotes.
This will be our opportunity to think together about the type of funeral service you would like and to settle on appropriate tributes, readings, poems, and music. I can advise about these but I am also open to any suggestions you may have.
On the day of the funeral, you and other family or friends can participate as much or as little as you wish. We can discuss this when we meet. I am also happy to provide advice and coaching on speaking in public for those planning to deliver readings.
The ceremony can be simple or extravagant and as personal as you would like it to be. To this end I will always strive to be creative and flexible in my approach.
In our changing world many people are finding that organised religion is becoming less important in their daily lives and they are seeking alternatives to a traditional funeral. As our ceremony will be founded in the beliefs, values and wishes of the deceased and those of their family it may or may not include a religious or spiritual element. This is entirely for you to decide.
Following our meeting I will prepare a beautiful bespoke service a copy of which will be sent to you in advance for your agreement. My aim will be to provide a ceremony which enables you to say goodbye in a way that is personal and meaningful to you.
