Send Off - Candle Light

Funeral & Memorial Services

Before you read on, I would just like to send you lots of Love & Hugs at this difficult time.

If your loved one embodied a spirit of fun, boldness, and wouldn't want you to be sad, why not consider arranging their send-off with the flair and exuberance of a Drag Queen? It can be a vibrant and celebratory way to honor their unique personality and ensure that their farewell is as lively and joyful as they would have wanted it to be.

Upon receiving a contact from your funeral director or directly from you, I will promptly arrange a meeting at your convenience, typically in the comfort of your home, for an informal and relaxed conversation. During this time, I'll listen to you share about your loved one – their life, passions, interests, and what mattered most to them. I'll eagerly gather their stories and anecdotes.

This initial meeting will serve as an opportunity for us to collaboratively envision the kind of funeral service that best honors your loved one's memory. Together, we'll decide on appropriate tributes, readings, poems, and music. While I can offer guidance in these matters, I am also open to any suggestions or ideas you may have.

On the day of the funeral, you and your family or friends can participate to the extent you feel comfortable. We can discuss your preferences during our meeting. I am also available to provide advice and coaching for those who plan to speak in public or deliver readings during the service.

The ceremony itself can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish, and it can be deeply personal, reflecting your loved one's unique life and spirit. To this end, I will always strive to be creative and adaptable in my approach.

In our evolving world, many people are finding that organized religion plays a diminishing role in their daily lives, leading them to seek alternatives to traditional funerals. The foundation of our ceremony will be rooted in the beliefs, values, and desires of the deceased and their family. Whether or not it includes a religious or spiritual component will be entirely your decision.

Following our meeting, I will diligently prepare a custom service, and I will send you a copy in advance for your review and approval. My ultimate aim is to create a ceremony that allows you to bid farewell in a way that is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful to you and your loved ones.
