Wedding Ceremonies
If you are dreaming of a wedding ceremony in a venue without a licence to carry out marriages for example, in a garden, or at a special venue that is close to your heart, then Capri can bring your ideal celebration to life. Similarly if you have married legally abroad but also want to have a celebration with your nearest and dearest when you return.
I can help you to plan a unique ceremony choreographed according to your exact wishes held in the venue or location of your choice, with whatever content you would like, including religious or symbolic elements that have a special meaning to both of you. There are countless reasons why a celebrant could be right for you.
I can also make suggestions of readings or poems, and can also help you writing vows if you would like to write your own.
My services for your special day all starts with a completely free, no-obligation consultation to make sure that we fit together as a working team. Once the booking is made, I will send out all the paperwork to you, to ensure that we are both protected, and you will pay the deposit, which is 50% of my fee for that service. Upon return of the signed contract, your booking will be firmly in my diary, and that date is reserved just for you.
About 6 months or so before the big day I will contact you to book a meeting to plan the ceremony in detail. I'll ask questions about the logistics of the ceremony that you might not even have thought about. We'll talk about whether you would like to add in symbolic rituals such as hand fasting or ring blessings, for example, and by the end of the meeting we'll both know exactly what is likely to happen on the day!
Then the writing will begin, and I'll start to create your beautiful ceremony. Each wedding is individually written and so is unique to you!
6 weeks before your ceremony date I will get in touch again, and after you have paid the balance of my fee, the first draft of the ceremony will come out to you either by email or we'll meet up again. You can change any part of the ceremony at this point. If you have chosen to keep your vows secret from each other I'll ask you to email me a copy - separately, of course - and I'll get everything printed and ready for the ceremony.
The day itself will come around so quickly! I'll arrive at the venue about an hour early to ensure that your photographer knows what's going to happen and when, and the musicians know when they need to start your music. I also have mains & battery-operated PA systems for the ceremony if needed. Everything will be ready, and all you need to do is to arrive!
After the ceremony, I will present you with your commemorative certificate which you and your witnesses or supporters signed during the ceremony, together with a keepsake souvenir copy of your entire script, readings, and vows!
If you have a vision of the perfect wedding ceremony, then I can help you make it a reality! In England, celebrant-led wedding ceremonies and civil partnership ceremonies are not legally binding*, so can be tailored exactly to your wishes and held in any location you desire!
*Please note that before the ceremony takes place, you will need to make an appointment with your local registrars first to complete the legalities for a legal marriage.
